Thomas Brandt raised to 12,000 from the hijack, and when it folded to the big blind Casey Hatmaker, he made the call.

The flop came 967 and Hatmaker checked to Brandt, who bet out 16,000. Hatmaker then raised all in for 30,000, and Brandt called to put him at risk.

Casey Hatmaker: K6 All in
Thomas Brandt: AJ

Hatmaker was ahead with his pair of sixes, but would have to fade the two over cards, and a diamond as Brandt also had a flush draw. But when the board ran out Q on the turn, and 8 on the river, the pair of sixes from Hatmaker were still best, and he secured the double up.

Tim Faro raised to 12,000 from under the gun, and Edgar Propst called on the button. Then Jimmy Born three-bet to 60,000 from the small blind, and after the big blind folded, Faro four-bet to 120,000. Propst folded, and Born made the call.

The flop came 836 and Born shoved all in for 176,000, which was called by Faro to put Born at risk.

Jimmy Born: 1010 All in
Tim Faro: AA

Born ran straight into the pocket aces of Faro and would need help to stay in the tournament. But after the board ran out 8 on the turn, and 2 on the river, the pocket aces of Faro were still best, and Born was eliminated from the tournament.
