Sergio Aido

Sergio Aido is a Spanish professional poker player who lives in London, England.

Aido is an online and live tournament specialist. He has over $4.8 million in online earnings and has cashed for more than $21 million in live events. He won his first WSOP bracelet in 2024.

Aido burst onto the live poker scene in March 2013, winning the £770 PokerStars UKIPT London Main Event for £144,555. He racked up dozens of five-figure prizes over the next three years before he started frequenting higher-stakes tournaments. A third-place finish in a Triton Poker Super High Roller Series event in the Philippines in November 2016 earned Aido a career-best $848,557. A month later, he won €177,965 for a runner-up finish in a €10,300 NLHE side event at EPT Prague.

Now armed with a sizeable bankroll and even more confidence, Aido became a familiar face in high-stakes and Super High Roller events worldwide. In February 2017, he raked in a pair of six-figure hauls before finishing 2nd in another Triton Poker Super High Roller Series event for a new career-high of $1,337,019.

In April 2019, Aido scooped another €1,589,190 after triumphing in a €100,000 NLHE Super High Roller at EPT Monte Carlo.

A victory in a $25,500 NLHE event at the WPT Rock 'N' Roller in November 2022 earned Aido $500,000. Two weeks later, he won €667,120 after finishing second in a €50,000 NLHE Super High Roller at EPT Prague.

March 2024 saw Aido win more than $2.5 million in the space of a week. A pair of runner-up finishes at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju, South Korea, saw Aido walk away with $1,237,804 and $1,353,000.

Aido became a WSOP champion in 2024, in addition to scooping a new career-best prize of $2,026,506. He won Event #39: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em, defeating Chance Kornuth heads-up.
